ABOUT US
My name is Barb and I taught myself how to sew when I was about 16 and haven't stopped since! I've made everything from clothes, suits, coats to wedding dresses.
I started selling at craft shows in the '90's making cloth animal dolls and vacuum cleaner covers. In 2002, I decided to take up quilting. I thought if you can sew, you can quilt! (never took a quilting lesson) I jumped right into the “hard stuff” first which to me seems easy.
I started out sewing wallhangings and baby quilts. It has now graduated to the larger quilts (by many requests) I recently purchased a Gammill Classic Longarm quilting machine to finish the larger ones.
I strive to create a high quality product for a reasonable price.
All my quilts and quilted items are handmade out of 100% pre-washed cotton with a thin polyfil batting and cotton muslin backing. Each quilt is first cut either by hand or with a rotary cutter, pieced and quilted by machine. Bindings are double folded and sewn by hand.
I am a member of the IMQA.
I currently do around 15-20 craft shows a year in the Maryland,Pennsylvania,Delaware,New Jersey & Virginia area. Please check my craft events to see where I'll be next and stop by to say Hello!
